Mary Beth Happ, PhD, RN, FAAN, FGSA will present the third 2017 NINR Director’s Lecture on September 20 at the NIH Campus in Bethseda, Maryland. In her presentation, “Giving Voice to the Voiceless: Improving Communication with Critically Ill Patients,” Dr. Happ will describe her program of research which addresses family bedside presence during critical illness, end-of-life care and treatment decision making in the ICU, and patient and family outcomes in acute-critical illness.
The Office of Research invites Faculty in the College of Nursing to register for a five-week course examining the basics of applying for a grant, presented by Associate Dean of Research, Dr. Annette Wysocki.
The Rally for Medical Research has taken place since 2013. It brings together nearly 300 national organizations with the purpose of calling on policymakers to make funding for the National Institutes of Health a national priority and raise awareness about the importance of continued investment in medical research that leads to MORE PROGRESS, MORE HOPE and MORE LIVES SAVED.
