On November 16, the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy will join the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) to celebrate National Rural Health Day.
Events throughout the week, open to the public and viewable online, will showcase collaboration for rural health across HRSA’s bureaus and offices as well as other departments within HHS. HRSA will kick off the week’s activities with daily Twitter chats about rural health over three days beginning on Monday, November 13.
This year marks 30 years for the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, authorized by Congress in 1987 to advise the Secretary of Health and Human Services, coordinate activities related to rural health within the Department, and maintain a national information clearinghouse.
