The 15th “Conference of the Parties” (COP) for the UN Convention to Combat Desertification was held from May 9th to 20th in Abidjian, Côte d’Ivoire. This is a critical Convention and biannual meeting, since it is a call to arms for making a full global commitment to drought preparedness and resilience a top priority.
