This ESRI GIS web application contains georeferenced historic map resources that can be added as a layer to a map. The application can be searched by century, and/or by location around the world. The location categories reflect both location, and the resolution at which the GIS layer is visible: some layers (as in World) are set to be visible only at world scale, some are set to be visible at regional scale, and some are visible with adequate resolution to be useable at local scales.
