1.1 Week 1 Introduction

Welcome to Week 1! This week we will explore and evaluate digital media tools and resources. First and foremost, we will brainstorm what digital media means. Then, we will learn how to navigate the vast wealth of information on the Internet to find web-based digital media tools. As we explore these incredible tools, we will develop a system to evaluate whether the tools can fit our needs, interests, and goals for teaching and learning. Some of the evaluation topics we will uncover include determining the effectiveness of the tool, privacy, and accessibility.
