What did you do as an intern at this organization?
I developed original multimedia content and social media copy for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts. I also spent a great deal of time preparing for the Massachusetts Democratic Convention by collecting data and assisting delegates.
What did you enjoy most about your internship?
I really enjoyed meeting like-minded students from different schools through this internship. We all still talk regularly, so it has proved to be a great way to network and form lasting relationships.
What did you find challenging about your internship?
Since there was so much to do on a daily basis, we all had to become fairly self-reliant and comfortable with using our own judgement when problems arose.
What skills did you develop through this internship?
I became very proficient at Adobe Suite by designing graphics for the Party’s various social media accounts. Additionally, I learned how to canvass for local campaigns, which has greatly improved my interpersonal communication skills.
What advice would you offer to someone who is considering this internship?
As long as you take initiative and work hard, it’ll be a wonderful experience!
