What did you do as an intern at this organization?

I prepared financial presentations, participated in meetings with clients, and did general office work.

What did you enjoy most about your internship?

I enjoyed two things most: learning about business in a setting that is not “graded,” but is still evaluated. The work I do with financial projections gets sent to clients for them to utilize in their own business plans. My other favorite part is learning about group dynamics in a setting (an office with two other interns and one advisor) that is unfamiliar to me.

What did you find challenging about your internship?

I found it most challenging working with co-interns who already have a business background. At times I feel like I’m a bit slow paced, but I’m taking so much in!

What skills did you develop through this internship?

Leadership, team building, interpersonal communication, and Microsoft Suite.

What advice would you offer to someone who is considering this internship?

Internships are the best ways to learn about things you like and also about things you might not like. If it sounds appealing to you, go for it!
