What did you do as an intern at this organization?

I assisted in the creation and revision of promotional materials for various channels. Additionally, I maintained contact lists, performed outreach, and conducted research for public programs.

What did you enjoy most about your internship?

I really loved helping with the Institute’s annual free summer event.

What did you find challenging about your internship?

Occasionally, I found it difficult to stay busy.

What skills did you develop through this internship?

Most notably, I learned how to effectively perform outreach through print, email, and social media.

What advice would you offer to someone who is considering this internship?

Since you’ll be working alongside all teams within the external relations division, be prepared to always be working on multiple projects at once. However, the Institute has a great mission and a great group of dedicated staff members, so it’s completely worth pursuing.
