Full-time or part-time? Part-time

What did you do as an intern at this organization?
I greeted museum guests, prepared and maintained art materials, and worked on various art projects.
What did you enjoy most about your internship?
My favorite part of the art studio internship is that is combines art and education – two areas I care a lot about. We encourage museum guests to utilize specific art materials for a given project and to problem solve when they don’t see materials that they really want to use.
What did you find challenging about your internship?
The most challenging part at the art studio is introducing art projects to museum guests of various age groups. Explaining a project to a group of three-year-olds is different than explaining a project to a group of thirty-year-olds.
What skills did you develop through this internship?
Problem-solving, team-building, public speaking, and creative thinking.
What advice would you offer to someone who is considering this internship?
Internships are the best ways to learn about things you like and also about things you might not like. If it sounds appealing to you, go for it!
